3. H.B. 400 Coverage Parity for Amino Acid-Based Formula (Redd, E.)
Rep. Edward H. Redd presented the bill with the assistance of Dr. Kathy Peterson, gastroenterologist, University of Utah.
Mr. Kelly Atkinson, Utah Health Insurance Association, spoke in opposition to the bill. Mr. Atkinson also corrected a statement he made at the committee's February 21, 2017, meeting during the discussion of H.B. 266, Pharmaceutical Step Therapy (E. Hutchings).

6. H.B. 384 Abortion Clinic Licensing Amendments (King, B. S.)
Rep. Brian S. King presented the bill with the assistance of Ms. Marina Lowe, Legislative Counsel for the Utah American Civil Liberties Union, and Dr. Leah Torres, OB/GYN.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURE: Rep. King noted that he is a member of the national ACLU, he is a member of the ACLU of Utah, and he is on the board of directors for the ACLU of Utah, and that attorney fees could be awarded to a plaintiff who prevailed in a suit over the issue addressed by H.B. 384.
Chair Daw assumed the chair.
