Chair Anderegg called the meeting to order at 8:04 a.m.

 

MOTION:     Sen. Millner moved to approve the minutes of February 24, 2017. The motion passed with a vote of 3-0-4.

1. S.B. 264 Outdoor Recreation Grant Program (Okerlund, R.)


Sen. Okerland presented the bill with the assistance of Mr. Tom Adams, Director, Utah Office of Outdoor Recreation.

 

MOTION:     Sen. Mayne moved to replace S.B. 264 with 1st Substitute S.B. 264.The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

Mr. Billy Hesterman, Utah Taxpayers Association, spoke in opposition to the bill.

Ms. Lori Harwood, Utah High School Cycling League, spoke in favor of the bill.

Mr. Clint Ensign, Senior Vice President, Sinclair Oil Corp., spoke in opposition to the bill.

 

MOTION:     Sen. Mayne moved to pass 1st Substitute S.B. 264 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-2.
