Vice Chair Barlow called the meeting to order at 8:07 a.m.
1. H.B. 291 School and Institutional Trust Lands Amendments (Noel, M.)
Rep. Noel explained the bill assisted by Mr. Tom Bachtell, Vice Chairman, School and Institutional Trust Lands Board of Trustees, and Ms. Margaret Bird.
Mr. Kirt Slaugh, Chief Deputy Treasurer, Treasurer's Office, spoke in favor of the bill.
Mr. Peter Madsen, Director, School and Institutional Trust Fund Office, spoke in favor of the bill.
Dr. Sydnee Dickson, State Superintendent, Board of Education, spoke to the bill.
Ms. Tracy Miller, Trust Lands Specialist for Utah PTA, spoke in favor of the bill.
MOTION: Rep. Wilde moved to pass H.B. 291 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 12-1-0.

MOTION: Rep. Watkins moved to replace H.B. 217 with 3rd Substitute H.B. 217. The motion passed with a vote of 12-0-1.
