Chair Anderegg called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.

MOTION:     Sen. Buxton moved to approve the minutes of February 28, 2017. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

1. S.B. 267 Utah Rural Jobs Act (Okerlund, R.)

Sen. Okerlund presented the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Mayne moved to replace S.B. 267 with 1st Substitute S.B. 267. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

Sen. Okerlund explained the bill with the assistance of Mr. Ryan Dressler, Advantage Capital.

Mr. Ben Hart, Governor's Office of Economic Development, spoke to the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Buxton moved to pass 1st Substitute S.B. 267 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-2.

MOTION:     Sen. Buxton moved to saunter. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-2.

2. H.B. 272 Regulatory Impact Amendments (Wilson, B.)

Rep. Brad R. Wilson presented the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Millner moved to amend H.B. 272 with Amendment #2.

MOTION:     Sen. Millner moved to pass H.B. 272 out favorably, as amended. The motion passed with a vote of 3-0-4.

3. 2nd Sub. H.B. 253 Short-term Rental Amendments (Knotwell, J.)

Rep. John Knotwell explained the bill.

MOTION:     Chair Anderegg moved to amend 2nd Substitute H.B. 253 with Amendment #2.

4. 2nd Sub. H.B. 236 Mobile Home Park Residents' Rights (Cutler, B. R.)

Rep. Bruce R. Cutler explained the bill with the assistance of Ms. Linda Faye Smith, S.J. Quinney College of Law.

MOTION:     Sen. Millner moved to amend 2nd Substitute H.B. 236 with Amendment #1.
