5. S.B. 262 Upstart Amendments (Adams, J. S.)

MOTION:     Vice Chair Nelson moved to amend S.B. 262 with Amendment #1.

 

1.    Page 1, Lines 16 through 18:   

 

16         requires a contractor to work with the Department of Workforce Services and the

17State Board of Education to solicit certain families to participate in UPSTART;

 ► authorizes a contractor to request certain information to verify an individual's income; and  

18         makes technical corrections.

 (b) The contractor may: 

       

 (i) require an individual to submit supporting documentation; and 

       

 (ii) create a deadline for an individual to submit an application, if necessary.
