Chair Dayton called the meeting to order at 8:02 a.m.

1. S.B. 268 Waste Amendments (Knudson, P.)

Sen. Knudson explained the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Knudson moved to pass S.B. 268 out favorably.

The motion passed with a vote of 7-0-0.

MOTION:     Sen. Iwamoto moved to approve the minutes for March 2, 2017.

The motion passed with a vote of 7-0-0.

2. S.B. 272 Search and Rescue Assistance Card Program Amendments (Hinkins, D.)

Sen. Hinkins explained the bill.

Nathan Curtis, Sevier County Sheriff, spoke to the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Hinkins moved to pass S.B. 272 out favorably.

The motion passed with a vote of 6-0-1.

3. S.B. 271 Canal and Ditch Modifications (Hinkins, D.)

Sen. Hinkins explained the bill.

4. 2nd Sub. H.B. 407 Utah Public Land Management Act Amendments (Noel, M.)

Rep. Noel explained the bill.

Matt Anderson, Policy Analyst, Coalition for Self Government in the West, Sutherland Institute, spoke in favor of the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Christensen moved to pass 2nd Substitute H.B. 407 out favorably.

The motion passed with a vote of 7-0-0.

5. 1st Sub. H.B. 315 Aquaculture Amendments (Froerer, G.)

Rep. Froerer explained the bill.
