1. H.B. 361 Block Grant Funding and Statutory Exemption Program for Public Education (Thurston, N.)


Rep. Norman K Thurston presented the bill.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Peterson moved to replace H.B. 361 with 1st Substitute H.B. 361.

The motion passed with a vote of 8-0-6.

MOTION:     Rep. McCay moved to pass 1st Substitute S.B. 220 out favorably.

 

SUBSTITUTE MOTION:   Rep. Owens moved to amend 1st Substitute S.B. 220 with a verbal amendment.


Ms. Tiffany Stanley, Policy Adviser, Utah State Board of Education spoke to the bill.


Rep. Owens withdrew his motion to amend.

 

MOTION:     Rep. McCay's original motion to pass 1st Substitute S.B. 220 out favorably passed with a vote of 12-2-0.
