Vice Chair Westwood called the meeting to order at 2:03 p.m.

1. 1st Sub. S.B. 238 Higher Education Governance Revisions (Millner, A.)

Sen. Ann Millner presented the bill.

Dr. Dave Buhler, Commissioner of Higher Education, spoke in favor of the bill.

Dr. Dave Woolstenhulme, Commissioner of Technical Education, spoke in favor of the bill.

MOTION:     Rep. Winder moved to pass 1st Substitute S.B. 238 out favorably.

The motion passed with a vote of 9-0-1.

MOTION:     Rep. Sandall moved to approve the minutes of March 3, 2017.

The motion passed with a vote of 8-0-2.

2. H.B. 451 Financial Literacy Amendments (Ward, R.)

Rep. Raymond P. Ward presented the bill.

MOTION:     Rep. Sandall moved to pass H.B. 451 out favorably.

The motion passed with a vote of 9-0-1.

3. H.J.R. 18 Joint Resolution on Economic and Environmental Stewardship (Edwards, R.)

Rep. Edwards presented the bill with the assistance of Rep. Joel Briscoe.
