1.      8:30 a.m.      Approve Minutes

                     Meeting Date: June 20, 2017

 

2.      8:35 a.m.      Budget Deep Dive – School Technology Programs

Subcommittee staff will present detailed budget information on three technology programs, namely, Early Intervention Reading Software, English Language Learner Software Licenses, and the Elementary Reading Assessment Tool. The State Board of Education will provide supplemental program performance and student achievement data.

 

3.      9:50 a.m.      Budget Deep Dive – School Turnaround & Leadership Development

Subcommittee staff will present detailed budget information on the School Turnaround & Leadership Development program created during the 2015 General Session. The State Board of Education will summarize program implementation to date and provide any program performance and student achievement data available. The State Board annually identifies low-performing schools and the program assists these schools through the creation of a turnaround committee and independent turnaround expert.

 

4.      10:15 a.m.    Budget Deep Dive – Intergenerational Poverty Interventions

Subcommittee staff will present detailed budget information on the Intergenerational Poverty Interventions program. The program has been in place for three fiscal years. The State Board of Education will provide program performance and student impact data. The program provides out-of-school education services to assist students affected by intergenerational poverty. 

 

5.      10:40 a.m.    Budget Deep Dive – Partnerships for Student Success

Subcommittee staff will present detailed budget information on the Partnerships for Student Success program. The State Board of Education will detail the initial implementation of the program and provide any program performance data available from the program’s first year of operation.
