2. Sunset Review – Utah Broadband Outreach Center

The committee will conduct a sunset review of Title 63N, Chapter 12, Part 3, Utah Broadband Outreach Center, which will be repealed July 1, 2018, under current statute. The Governor's Office of Economic Development, which administers the center, will provide recommendations.

The committee will hear a presentation from the Governor's Office of Economic Development outlining proposed changes to the office that would require statutory modifications.

The committee will hear a presentation from staff regarding evaluation methods for economic development incentives that have been implemented around the country.

The committee will hear a presentation from Church & State, a non-profit organization focused on entrepreneurship in the state, regarding Utah's entrepreneurship environment.

6. Living Wage

The committee will hear an overview of recent academic research regarding the minimum wage and a presentation regarding raising the minimum wage in the state.
