up to 10 years, with or without amendments, or allowed to expire.

Audit Report #ILR2016-F,
UCA Improving Controls After Fraud
Discovered
This
legislative audit report was presented to the Legislative Audit Subcommittee
and referred to the Public Utilities, Energy, and Technology Interim Committee
for further review and action as appropriate. The audit report was also
referred to the Government Operations Interim Committee, which was designated
as the lead committee to follow-up on the audit and report back to the
Legislative Audit Subcommittee. This audit report addresses control
improvements that have been implemented at the Utah Communications Authority since
it was discovered in April of 2016 that an internal theft of approximately
$800,000 had occurred. Representatives from the Utah Communications Authority
will respond to the audit and outline what is happening to move forward.
