Sales Tax Amendments (Draft Legislation)
The committee will consider
draft legislation 2019FL-0565/001, “Transportation Sales Tax Amendments,” which
combines two sales tax rates into one equivalent rate.

License Modifications
The committee will
discuss potential legislative changes to Utah’s drivers licenses to bring them
into compliance with federal Real ID requirements.

Collections for Out of State or Rental Vehicles
The committee will hear
a presentation from the Utah Department of Transportation regarding a
statutorily required study of methods to collect tolls or other penalties from

License Division, and the Division of Motor Vehicles.
