2.    Utah Technology Sector

The committee will hear a presentation on Utah’s labor market and the technology sector.

3.    Early Childhood Coordination Amendments (draft legislation)

The committee will discuss draft legislation produced by the Early Childhood Working Group, formed in coordination with the Education Interim Committee to identify next steps in coordinating early childhood care and learning.

4.    Affordable Housing Modifications (draft legislation)

The committee will discuss draft legislation related to the work of the Commission on Housing Affordability created in 2018 General Session H.B. 430, “Affordable Housing Amendments.”

5.    Secondary Water Metering Requirements (draft legislation)

The committee will discuss draft legislation addressing the metering of pressurized secondary water. The draft legislation is related to 2018 General Session S.B. 204, “Secondary Water Metering Requirements.”

The committee will discuss draft legislation related to the Department of Workforce Services and including language extending the sunset of Utah Code Subsection 35A-4-312(5)(p). Absent further action by the Legislature, Subsection 35A-4-312(5)(p) will be repealed on July 1, 2019.
