The Legislative Audit Subcommittee referred the performance audit on the University Neuropsychiatric Institute and Crisis Services to the subcommittee for further review and action. The Audit Subcommittee requests that the Public Education Appropriations Subcommittee “determine whether appropriate action is being taken to address audit findings” and by motion and vote reach one or more of the following conclusions:
· Draft legislation for the next legislative session, if applicable;
· Conclude that the issues are significant but that more time is needed to develop solutions and consensus; or
· Conclude that there is insufficient committee support to study the issue further.
· Presenter on School Building Programs: Robert Petersen, Business Administrator for Weber School District
Local Board representatives from Canyons, Granite, and Jordan school districts will share their strategies for teacher compensation and how they plan to pay associated costs.
