2.    Plain Language Ballots

The committee will consider a proposal to simplify ballot language and increase ballot information available online and through the voter information pamphlet.

3.    Facial Recognition Technology Use

The committee will discuss the use of facial recognition technology used by the Department of Public Safety and policies related to the government’s use of facial recognition technology.

4.    Voter Registration Records

The committee will discuss policies that allow a voter to designate their voter registration record as a private record.

5.    Congressional Vacancies

The committee will consider draft legislation “Congressional Vacancies Amendments” and "Joint Rules Resolution on Nomination of Congressional Members" which create processes for filling a congressional vacancy.

6.    Required Reports: Boards and Commissions

Utah Code Sections 36-12-22 and 67-1-2.5 require the Office of Legislative Research and General Council and the governor’s boards and commissions administrator respectively to report annually to the Government Operations Interim Committee.
