Education regarding possible legislation needed for the 2020 General Session. The Board is requesting two pieces of
legislation regarding technical clean up issues and student access to school
breakfast. The committee may consider
opening committee bill files to address the proposed statutory changes.

Educator Exit Survey Results
H.B. 130, Public Education Exit Survey, 2019 General
Session requires the State Board of Education to make rules that establish the
minimum standards for an educator exit survey and reporting requirements for local
education agencies that administer the exit survey. The State Board of Education is required to
report to the Education Interim Committee before acting on the proposed
educator exit survey rules. The
committee will receive and discuss the proposed educator exit survey rules.

E-cigarettes Workgroup
The committee
will receive an update from the workgroup regarding the use of e-cigarettes by
minors. The committee may consider
opening committee bill files to address any recommendations from the workgroup.

Chronic Absenteeism
