2.    Native American Guardian’s Association Presentation

At the request of Rep. Shipp, the committee will receive a presentation from the Native American Guardian’s Association on the group’s “Educate Not Eradicate” education efforts.

3.    Draft legislation, “Native American Legislative Liaison Committee Amendments”

2019 General Session H.B. 387, Boards and Commissions Amendments, reduced the size of the Native American Legislative Liaison Committee from 11 to eight members, and also established a committee sunset date of July 1, 2022. This legislation increases the committee’s size back to 11 and removes the sunset date.

4.    Draft legislation, “Tribal Leaders Description Amendments”

This bill amends the tribal leaders with which the Division of Indian Affairs is to coordinate meetings.

5.    Draft Legislation, “American Indian-Alaska Native Related Amendments”

This bill addresses American Indian-Alaska Native issues and in particular issues related to the Department of Health’s liaison. It is intended only for committee discussion.

6.    Utah Navajo Health Systems Presentation

Representatives of Utah Navajo Health Systems requested an opportunity to address its new clinical buildings and services, discuss how it is addressing Medicaid expansion, and provide information regarding the Navajo Nation’s Managed Care Organization.
