The task force will hear a brief overview of the United States Department
of Justice’s Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Initiative in the context
of federal and state initiatives and recent federal legislation, as well as potential
opportunities for task force collaboration.

Pursuant to Utah Code Subsection 36-29-107(8)(a),
the task force will hear from Utah Tribal Leaders on the scope and nature of
the issues regarding missing and murdered indigenous women and girls. Tribal
Leaders were also sent an email address through which to contact task force
members in the event they are not able to attend Tribal Consultation.
