First Responder Mental
Health Services
The committee will receive a presentation on the implementation of
grant-funded programs established in H.B. 23, First Responder Mental Health
Services, which passed during the 2022 General Session.

School Resource Officers
The committee will study the current landscape of the use of school
resource officers in state.
4.
Master Offense List
In accordance with Utah Code Section 63M-7-405, the committee will
receive a presentation from the Sentencing Commission on updates to the Master
Offense List.

Sentencing Guidelines
The committee will receive a presentation from the Sentencing
Commission on the relationship between the sentencing guidelines and statute.
6.
State v. Carter
The committee will discuss a request by the Utah Court of Appeals and
the Utah Supreme Court to clarify provisions related to the definition of
habitable structure in the aggravated arson statutory scheme.
7.
Reverse Keyword Search and
Geolocation Requests
The committee will discuss the current state of law regarding reverse
keyword search and geolocation requests by law enforcement.
