1.    Committee Business

·         Call to order

·         Approval of the minutes of the June 14, 2023, meeting

 

2.    Prioritization Process

The committee will review the proposed changes to the Transportation Commission’s prioritization process.

3.    Ski Bus Service and Canyons Transportation

The committee will discuss the status of ski bus service for the 2023-2024 ski season and recent appropriations for transportation in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons.

4.    Coordinated Mobility

The committee will revisit coordinated mobility services and delivery as discussed at the May 2023 meeting.

5.    DUI Report

The committee will hear the Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice’s 2022 annual DUI report as required per Utah Code 41-6a-511.

6.    Sunset Review: State Scenic Byway Program

Absent further action by the Legislature, Utah Code Title 72, Chapter 4, Part 3, which creates the Utah State Scenic Byway Program, will be repealed January 2, 2025. The committee will conduct a sunset review of the statute and determine if it should be reauthorized for up to 10 years, with or without amendments, or allowed to expire.

7.    Highway Designations Report

The committee will review the Department of Transportation’s recommendations of highways or sections of highways it proposes for addition to or deletion from the state highway system as required per Utah Code 72-4-102.

8.    Annual Report and Strategic Initiatives

The committee will hear the Department of Transportation and the Transportation Commission’s annual reports as required per Utah Code 72-1-201, 72-1-211, and 72-1-305.

9.    Draft Legislation: Motor Vehicle Act Amendments

The committee will consider 2024 General Session draft legislation, “Motor Vehicle Act Amendments,” which modifies provisions related to titling and registration requirements.
