2.    Public Employees’ Health Program (PEHP) Updates  

The committee will receive a presentation reviewing key bills, emerging challenges of highly expensive drugs, and the individual embedded out-of-pocket maximum for families with high-cost members.

3.    Sunset Review: Expanded Fertility Treatment Coverage Pilot Program

Utah Code 49-20-418 states, “The purpose of the pilot program is to study the efficacy of providing coverage for the use of an assisted reproductive technology…” The program is scheduled to sunset on January 1, 2025.

4.    Review of the Utah Innovation Lab

The committee will receive a presentation on the purpose and planned activities of the entity and determine if the Utah Innovation Lab should be added to the list of independent entities in Section 63E-1-102.

5.    Draft Legislation: Utah Communications Authority Modifications

This draft legislation reflects recommendations from the Utah Communications Authority and clean-up items.

6.    Sunset Review: Heber Valley Historic Railroad Authority

In June, the committee heard a presentation from the authority and requested additional information. The committee will receive presentations addressing the requests from the June meeting.

7.    Sunset Review: Phased Retirement

Title 49, Chapter 11, Part 13 allows a retiree to continue working on a part-time basis with the same employer while receiving a reduced retirement allowance. The program is scheduled to sunset January 1, 2025.

8.    Updated Actuarial Calculations and Contribution Rates for Fiscal Year 2025
