3.    Property Tax – Real Property Price Disclosure and Transfer Taxes

The committee will discuss issues related to a required disclosure of real property prices when ownership of the property is transferred.

4.    Sales and Use Tax - Sales Tax Exemption for Political Subdivisions

The committee will discuss amending Section 59-12-104 to allow the existing sales tax exemption on construction materials purchased by or on behalf of institutions of the public education system to also include construction materials purchased by or on behalf of political subdivisions provided the construction materials are clearly identified and segregated and installed or converted to real property which is owned by the political subdivision.

5.    Tax Information Sharing Amendments - Draft Legislation

This draft legislation authorizes the State Tax Commission to share certain information with the Division of Finance within the Department of Government Operations to facilitate payments to taxpayers.

6.    Earned Income Tax Credit Amendments - Draft Legislation

This draft legislation modifies the state Earned Income Tax Credit to be a refundable credit.

7.    Income Tax Credit Review

In accordance with Sections 59-7-159 and 59-10-137 the committee will review the refundable motion picture tax credit and nonrefundable tax credit for investment in certain life science establishments.
