4. Sales and Use Tax - Sales Tax Exemption for Political Subdivisions
The committee will
discuss amending Section 59-12-104 to allow the existing
sales tax exemption on construction materials purchased by or on behalf of
institutions of the public education system to also include construction
materials purchased by or on behalf of political subdivisions provided the
construction materials are clearly identified and segregated and installed or
converted to real property which is owned by the political subdivision.
