2.    Post-Election Audit Study

Utah Code Section 20A-1-108(4) requires the lieutenant governor to study methods to improve post-election audits to confirm that the election correctly identified the winning candidates and to report to the Government Operations Interim Committee on the methods studied and recommendations for post-election audit requirements.

The committee will consider 2024 General Session draft legislation, "Election Revisions," which would modify provisions of the Election Code.

4.    Draft Legislation "Criminal Threat or Interference Amendments"

The committee will consider 2024 General Session draft legislation, "Criminal Threat or Interference Amendments," which would modify provisions related to criminal offenses conducted against a public servant, party official, or voter.

The committee will consider 2024 General Session draft legislation, "Electronic Notarization Amendments," which would modify provisions related to electronic notarizations.

The committee will consider 2024 General Session draft legislation, "State Boards and Commissions Amendments," which would establish sunset provisions for certain boards and commissions.

The committee will consider 2024 General Session draft legislation, "Division of Human Resource Management Amendments," which would modify provisions of the Utah State Personnel Management Act.

The committee will consider 2024 General Session draft legislation, "Tourism Fund Amendments," which would authorize a county of the third class to expend revenue generated by the transient room tax to pay for on-site emergency medical services in certain areas of the county.
