2. Recap of 2023 Justice Court Reform Task Force Recommendations

Staff will briefly summarize the Task Force’s efforts last interim, which culminated in a resolution in support of justice court reform and draft legislation extending the sunset date for the Task Force.

3. Next Steps for Phased Implementation of Justice Court Reform

The Task Force will discuss its plans for the phased implementation of justice court reform, with the goal of recommending draft legislation to the Judiciary Interim Committee at its October 16, 2024 meeting. The Task Force may also consider input from the Courts, other stakeholders, and the public.
