Section
54-7-13.5 requires an electrical corporation that has
established an energy balancing account to report to the committee by December
1 of even-numbered years. The electrical corporation is required to report on
the “continued 100% recovery of the electrical corporation’s prudently incurred
costs related to the energy balancing account and any determination by the commission
of costs not prudently incurred.”

Status Report: Green River Energy

The Green River Energy Center is an 800-megawatt
combined solar + storage project in Emery County that broke ground just
recently. The project is currently the largest planned solar plus storage
facility in Utah and one of the largest facilities in the PacifiCorp system.
The committee will hear a status report on the project.

W2e Technology is focused on commercializing a
“waste-to-energy” technology capable of vaporizing energy-rich material
(plastic, tires, & coal) into hydrogen and food-grade carbon dioxide. The
committee will hear a presentation from the company explaining the mission and
process of this technology.

Charitable Trust will present on advanced transmission technologies and
