The committee will receive a presentation from Senator Ipson on a bill regarding child abuse and torture amendments.

7.    Domestic Violence Enhancements

The committee will receive a presentation from the Utah Attorney General's Office on domestic violence enhancements when there are prior convictions and how domestic violence abusers are sentenced to a general matrix.

8.    Domestic Violence Assessment for Pre-Trial Release and Sentencing

The committee will receive a presentation from the Statewide Association of Prosecutors (SWAP) about a domestic violence assessment for pre-trial release and a pilot program for DV specialty courts. SWAP will also provide information on DV treatment resources outside the Wasatch Front.
