3.    Overview of Federalism Commission

The commission will review the commission’s statutory mandate, changes to the statutes governing the commission from last year, and federalism-related legislation from the 2025 General Session.

4.      Implementation of H.B. 488, 2025 General Session

The commission will discuss the implementation of H.B. 488, 2025 General Session including work being done to develop an education and federalism training program, preparations for an annual federalism summit, outreach to other states, and planning for a national federalism commission of the states.

5.    Federalism as Structural Matter

The commission will discuss structural federalism principles that should transcend political party and how to approach such matters.

6.    Department of Environmental Quality

The commission will receive a report from the Department of Environmental Quality regarding discussions with the federal government, recent actions by the federal government impacting environmental issues in the state, and an overview of H.B. 85, 2025 General Session.
