3.    Public Education: New State Superintendent Molly Hart

The committee will hear from the new State Superintendent, Molly Hart, about her vision, goals, and plans for the public education system and working with the State Board of Education, the Legislature, and other education stakeholders.

4.    Public Education: Charter School Overview

The committee will receive an overview of charter schools from the Utah State Board of Education and the Utah State Charter School Board, including information on charter school funding, charter school authorizing, and the Memorandum of Understanding between both entities. The committee will also receive presentations from officials with the Utah Association of Public Charter Schools and the American Preparatory Academy.
