Federally Managed Lands
The Public Lands Policy
Coordinating Office is required by SB 158, 2025 General Session, to conduct a
survey of land applications of federally managed public land within the state between
July 1, 2014 and July 1, 2024.

of Environmental Quality Report
The commission will
receive a report on work done by the Department of Environmental Quality to
implement the provisions of H.B. 85.

Federalism Summit Overview
The commission will
discuss the implementation of H.B. 488, 2025 General Session including an
overview of efforts at the recent NCSL Legislative Summit in Boston,
preparations for an annual federalism summit, outreach to other states, and
planning for a national federalism commission of the states.

Program
The commission
will receive a report on efforts to work with the Governor’s Office and state
agency representatives to develop a federalism education and training program.

Law Enforcement Issues
The commission will consider
issues raised regarding federal law enforcement action. What is the
jurisdiction of the states and what role does the federal government have?
Discussion will cover the role and jurisdiction of federal vs. states in the
area of law enforcement, the use of the national guard by the president, rule
287G and immigration enforcement, and other law enforcement issues.
