Utah Code Subsection
26B-1-507(2)(b) directs the panel to review fatality review reports for
individuals who had an open case for child welfare services within one year of
death or near death. The meeting will be closed for a portion of this agenda
item in order for the panel to discuss the reports and agency responses.
Following the closed portion of the meeting, the meeting will be reopened to
the public for any further discussion and action by the panel.

Individual Child Welfare Cases
Utah Code Subsection
52-4-205(2)(b) requires the panel to close a meeting when the panel reviews and
discusses an individual case, as described in Subsection 36-33-103(2). The
meeting will be closed for a portion of this agenda item to discuss individual
child welfare cases. Following the closed portion of the meeting, the meeting
will be reopened to the public for any further discussion and action by the
panel.
