The committee will discuss the 2026 interim study items that were approved by the Legislative Management Committee, statutorily required reports, Legislative audits, and opening committee bill files.

3.    Tax Increment Financing Workgroup

H.B. 507, 2026 General Session (Roberts) requires the Political Subdivisions Interim Committee to create a working group to study tax increment financing issues.  H.B. 507 requires the workgroup to present the committee with recommendations by November 1, 2026. The Political Subdivisions Interim Committee chairs are required to appoint work group members as provided in H.B. 507.
