3.    Natural Gas Pipeline Capacity Study 1:25 – 1:55PM

The committee will hear about natural gas pipelines in Utah and natural gas generation capacity in context of increased demand from large-load users in Utah.

4.    Enbridge Gas 1:55 – 2:15PM

The committee will hear from Enbridge Gas on their recent rate change and impacts to natural gas rates.

5.    Utah Energy Council Update 2:15 – 2:45PM

The committee will hear an update from the Utah Energy Council on their updated membership and work regarding the Intermountain Power Plant.

6.    Balcony Portable Solar Generation Devices Safety Standards 2:45 – 3:15PM

The committee will hear an update on H.B. 340, Solar Power Amendments, 2025 General Session, and safety standards required for these portable solar generation devices.

7.    Utah Energy & Geoscience Institute Update 3:15 – 3:45PM

The committee will hear an overview of the University of Utah’s Energy & Geoscience Institute and from the new principal investigator of the Utah FORGE: Frontier Observatory for Research in Geothermal Energy Project at the University of Utah.
