2.    Homeowners' Insurance

The committee will receive a presentation from the Insurance Department on trends in homeowners’ insurance markets to assess the ongoing impacts of enacted legislation H.B. 48, updates on accessing reasonably priced insurance, and the need for further statutory changes.

The committee will consider 2027 General Session proposed legislation “Construction Amendments”, which addresses amendments for construction trades licensing act and licensing for electrical utility contractors.

4.    Insurance Market Updates

The committee will receive a presentation from the Insurance Department on general trends in insurance markets to assess the ongoing impacts of enacted legislation and the need for further statutory changes.

5.    Consumer Protection Issues
