2.    Sunset Review: Approval of International Trade Agreement – Consultation with the Utah International Relations and Trade Commission

The committee will review Section 67-1-15, Approval of International Trade Agreement—Consultation with the Utah International Relations and Trade Commission, which will sunset on December 31, 2027.

3.    Sunset Review: Multi-Agency Strike Force Annual Report

The committee will receive a presentation on Section 67-5-22.7(6), annual report by the multi-agency strike force to combat violent and other major felony crimes associated with illegal immigration and human trafficking, which will sunset on January 1, 2027.

4.    Study Item: Cost of Elections

The committee will study costs related to elections, including ballots, staff, processing, and election day costs, as well as receive presentations from the county clerks, the lieutenant governor’s office, and committee staff.

5.    Utah Voter Registration Citizenship Review

The committee will receive a presentation from the lieutenant governor’s office on the Utah Voter Registration Citizenship Review published in May 2026.

6.    Chief Privacy Officer Report

The committee will receive a report from the Chief Privacy Officer on an overview of privacy in the state, state agencies' reports on the sale or sharing of personal data, as well as recommendations to address privacy concerns.

7.    Judicial Invitation to Amend the Utah Procurement Code

The committee will receive a presentation from committee staff on the Utah Court of Appeals decision WellSky Corp v. Procurement Policy Board involving the Utah Procurement Code.
