level="1"><display>(3)</display>In accordance with applicable provisions and Section <xref depth="3" refnumber="68-3-14">68-3-14</xref>, every five years the <ln numlevel="1" lineno="112" slineno="1-82"/>Education Interim Committee shall review the programs described in the following <ln numlevel="1" lineno="113" slineno="1-83"/>sections of code:<subsection ssid="7-null-34" dnum="a-o" numlevel="1" lineno="114" slineno="1-84" level="2"><display>(a)</display>beginning July 1, 2027, Title <xref depth="2" refnumber="53E-10-3">53E, Chapter 10, Part 3</xref>, Concurrent Enrollment;</subsection><subsection ssid="7-null-35" dnum="b-o" numlevel="1" lineno="115" slineno="1-85" level="2"><display>(b)</display>beginning July 1, 2027, Section <xref depth="3" refnumber="53F-2-408">53F-2-408</xref>, Enhancement for Accelerated Students <ln numlevel="1" lineno="116" slineno="1-86"/>Program;</subsection><subsection ssid="7-null-36" dnum="c-o" numlevel="1" Utah standards assessments -- Administration -- <ln numlevel="1" lineno="130" slineno="2-3"/>Review committee.</bold></catline><subsection ssid="3-null-1" dnum="1-o" numlevel="1" lineno="131" slineno="2-4" level="1" placement="noreturn"><display>(1)</display>As used in this section, "computer adaptive assessment" means an assessment that <ln numlevel="1" lineno="132" slineno="2-5"/>measures the range of a student's ability by adapting to the student's responses, selecting <ln numlevel="1" lineno="133" slineno="2-6"/>more difficult or less difficult questions based on the student's responses.</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-2" dnum="2-o" numlevel="1" lineno="134" slineno="2-7" level="1"><display>(2)</display>The state board shall:<subsection ssid="3-null-3" dnum="a-o" numlevel="1" lineno="135" slineno="2-8" level="2"><display>(a)</display>adopt a standards assessment that:<subsection ssid="3-null-4" dnum="i-o" numlevel="1" lineno="136" slineno="2-9" level="3"><display>(i)</display>measures a student's proficiency in:<subsection ssid="3-null-5" dnum="A-o" numlevel="1" lineno="137" slineno="2-10" level="4"><display>(A)</display>mathematics for students in each of grades 3 through 8 until July 1, 2026, and <ln numlevel="1" lineno="138" slineno="2-11"/>3 through 10 after July 1, 2026;</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-6" dnum="B-o" numlevel="1" lineno="139" slineno="2-12" level="4"><display>(B)</display>English language arts for students in each of grades 3 through 8 until July 1, <ln numlevel="1" lineno="140" slineno="2-13"/>2026, and 3 through 10 after July 1, 2026;</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-7" dnum="C-o" numlevel="1" lineno="141" slineno="2-14" level="4"><display>(C)</display>science for students in each of grades 4 through 8 until July 1, 2026, and 4 <ln numlevel="1" lineno="142" slineno="2-15"/>through 10 after July 1, 2026; and</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-8" dnum="D-o" numlevel="1" lineno="143" slineno="2-16" level="4"><display>(D)</display>writing for students in at least grades 5 and 8; and</subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-9" dnum="ii-o" numlevel="1" lineno="144" slineno="2-17" level="3"><display>(ii)</display>except for the writing measurement described in Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-303(2)(a)(i)(D)" start="0">(2)(a)(i)(D)</xref>, is a <ln numlevel="1" lineno="145" slineno="2-18"/>computer adaptive assessment; and</subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-10" dnum="b-o" numlevel="1" lineno="146" slineno="2-19" level="2"><display>(b)</display>ensure that an assessment described in Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-303(2)(a)" start="0">(2)(a)</xref> is:<subsection ssid="3-null-11" dnum="i-o" numlevel="1" lineno="147" slineno="2-20" level="3"><display>(i)</display>a criterion referenced assessment;</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-12" dnum="ii-o" numlevel="1" lineno="148" slineno="2-21" level="3"><display>(ii)</display>administered online;</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-13" dnum="iii-o" numlevel="1" lineno="149" slineno="2-22" level="3"><display>(iii)</display>aligned with the core standards for Utah public schools; and</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-14" dnum="iv-o" numlevel="1" lineno="150" slineno="2-23" level="3"><display>(iv)</display>adaptable to personalized, competency-based learning, as that term is defined in <ln numlevel="1" lineno="151" slineno="2-24"/>Section <xref depth="3" refnumber="53F-5-501" start="0">53F-5-501</xref>.</subsection></subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-15" dnum="3-o" numlevel="1" lineno="152" slineno="2-25" level="1"><display>(3)</display>A school district or charter school shall<amendoutstart style="2"/><amend anum="0" ea="erase" pairid="9" groupid="9" style="2" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" deltag="both"> </amend><amendoutend style="2"/><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="7" groupid="7" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="both" space="true">:</amend><subsection ssid="3-31" dnum="_-o:a-i" numlevel="1" lineno="153" slineno="2-26" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1058" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="both">(a)</amend></display>annually administer the standards assessment adopted by the state board under <ln numlevel="1" lineno="154" slineno="2-27"/>Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-303(2)" start="0">(2)</xref> to all students in the subjects and grade levels described in Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-303(2)" start="0"><ln numlevel="1" lineno="155" slineno="2-28"/>(2)</xref><amendoutstart style="2"/><amend anum="0" ea="erase" pairid="18" groupid="17" style="2" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" deltag="both">.</amend><amendoutend style="2"/><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="16" groupid="15" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="both" space="true">; or</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="3-32" dnum="_-o:b-i" numlevel="1" lineno="156" slineno="2-29" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1059" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(b)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="15" groupid="14" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">administer the alternative assessment in accordance with the requirements of the <ln numlevel="1" lineno="157" slineno="2-30"/>Alternative Statewide Testing Pilot Program, created in Section <xref depth="3" refnumber="53E-4-316">53E-4-316</xref>.</amend></subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-16" dnum="4-o" numlevel="1" lineno="158" slineno="2-31" level="1" space="false"><display>(4)</display><subsection ssid="3-null-17" dnum="a-o" level="2" placement="sameline"><display>(a)</display>Except as provided in Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-303(4)(b)" start="0">(4)(b)</xref>, a student's score on the standards <ln numlevel="1" lineno="159" slineno="2-32"/>assessment adopted under Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-303(2)" start="0">(2)</xref> may not be considered in determining:<subsection ssid="3-null-18" dnum="i-o" numlevel="1" lineno="160" slineno="2-33" level="3" tab="1"><display>(i)</display>the student's academic grade for a course; or</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-19" dnum="ii-o" numlevel="1" lineno="161" slineno="2-34" level="3" tab="1"><display>(ii)</display>whether the student may advance to the next grade level.</subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-20" dnum="b-o" numlevel="1" lineno="162" slineno="2-35" level="2"><display>(b)</display>A teacher may use a student's score on the standards assessment adopted under <ln numlevel="1" lineno="163" slineno="2-36"/>Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-303(2)" start="0">(2)</xref> to improve the student's academic grade for or demonstrate the <ln numlevel="1" lineno="164" slineno="2-37"/>student's competency within a relevant course.</subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-21" dnum="5-o" numlevel="1" lineno="165" slineno="2-38" level="1" space="false"><display>(5)</display><subsection ssid="3-null-22" dnum="a-o" level="2" placement="sameline"><display>(a)</display>The state board shall establish a committee consisting of 15 parents of Utah public <ln numlevel="1" lineno="166" slineno="2-39"/>education students to review all standards assessment questions<amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="23" groupid="21" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="both"> except from an <ln numlevel="1" lineno="167" slineno="2-40"/>alternative assessment administered under the Alternative Statewide Testing Pilot <ln numlevel="1" lineno="168" slineno="2-41"/>Program, created in Section <xref depth="3" refnumber="53E-4-316">53E-4-316</xref></amend>.</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-23" dnum="b-o" numlevel="1" lineno="169" slineno="2-42" level="2"><display>(b)</display>The committee established in Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-303(5)(a)" start="0">(5)(a)</xref> shall include the following parent <ln numlevel="1" lineno="170" slineno="2-43"/>members:<subsection ssid="3-null-24" dnum="i-o" numlevel="1" lineno="171" slineno="2-44" level="3"><display>(i)</display>five members appointed by the chair of the state board;</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-25" dnum="ii-o" numlevel="1" lineno="172" slineno="2-45" level="3"><display>(ii)</display>five members appointed by the speaker of the House of Representatives or the <ln numlevel="1" lineno="173" slineno="2-46"/>speaker's designee; and</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-26" dnum="iii-o" numlevel="1" lineno="174" slineno="2-47" level="3"><display>(iii)</display>five members appointed by the president of the Senate or the president's designee.</subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-27" dnum="c-o" numlevel="1" lineno="175" slineno="2-48" level="2"><display>(c)</display>The state board shall provide staff support to the parent committee.</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-28" dnum="d-o" numlevel="1" lineno="176" slineno="2-49" level="2"><display>(d)</display>The term of office of each member appointed in Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-303(5)(b)" start="0">(5)(b)</xref> is four years.</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-29" dnum="e-o" numlevel="1" lineno="177" slineno="2-50" level="2"><display>(e)</display>The chair of the state board, the speaker of the House of Representatives, and the <ln numlevel="1" lineno="178" slineno="2-51"/>president of the Senate shall adjust the length of terms to stagger the terms of <ln numlevel="1" lineno="179" slineno="2-52"/>committee members so that approximately half of the committee members are <ln numlevel="1" lineno="180" slineno="2-53"/>appointed every two years.</subsection><subsection ssid="3-null-30" dnum="f-o" numlevel="1" lineno="181" slineno="2-54" level="2"><display>(f)</display>No member may receive compensation or benefits for the member's service on the <ln numlevel="1" lineno="182" slineno="2-55"/>committee.</subsection></subsection></section></bsec><bsec buid="1" num="53E-4-316" type="enact" src="code" uid="C53E-4-S316_2026070120260701" sort="53E04 03160020260701" numlevel="1" lineno="183" slineno="3-1" sn="3"><section numlevel="1" lineno="184" slineno="3-2" number="53E-4-316" type="enact"><secline lineno="183">Section 3. Alternative Statewide Testing Pilot Program.</bold></catline><subsection ssid="1-1" dnum="_-o:1-i" numlevel="1" lineno="185" slineno="3-3" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="1" placement="noreturn"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1075" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(1)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="3" groupid="3" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">As used in this section:</amend><subsection ssid="1-6" dnum="_-o:a-i" numlevel="1" lineno="186" slineno="3-4" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1076" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(a)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="31" groupid="24" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">"Alternative assessment" means a computer-adaptive, nationally norm-referenced <ln numlevel="1" lineno="187" slineno="3-5"/>assessment an educational service organization administers to measure achievement <ln numlevel="1" lineno="188" slineno="3-6"/>and growth in:</amend><subsection ssid="1-7" dnum="_-o:i-i" numlevel="1" lineno="189" slineno="3-7" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1077" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(i)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="38" groupid="28" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">mathematics;</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-8" dnum="_-o:ii-i" numlevel="1" lineno="190" slineno="3-8" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1078" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(ii)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="43" groupid="32" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">reading; and</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-9" dnum="_-o:iii-i" numlevel="1" lineno="191" slineno="3-9" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1079" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(iii)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="48" groupid="36" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">science.</amend></subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="1-3" dnum="_-o:b-i" numlevel="1" lineno="192" slineno="3-10" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1080" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(b)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="16" groupid="12" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">"Program" means the Alternative Statewide Testing Pilot Program created in <ln numlevel="1" lineno="193" slineno="3-11"/>Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-316(2)">(2)</xref>.</amend></subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="1-4" dnum="_-o:2-i" numlevel="1" lineno="194" slineno="3-12" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="1" space="false"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1081" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(2)</amend></display><subsection ssid="1-81" dnum="_-o:a-i" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2" placement="sameline"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1082" style="1" owner="i" level="1">(a)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="21" groupid="16" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">There is created a five-year pilot program, known as the Alternative Statewide <ln numlevel="1" lineno="195" slineno="3-13"/>Testing Pilot Program, to allow an LEA to administer an alternative assessment in <ln numlevel="1" lineno="196" slineno="3-14"/>place of the end-of-year statewide summative assessment required under Section <xref depth="3" refnumber="53E-4-303"><ln numlevel="1" lineno="197" slineno="3-15"/>53E-4-303</xref> for:</amend><subsection ssid="1-10" dnum="_-o:i-i" numlevel="1" lineno="198" slineno="3-16" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3" tab="1"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1083" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(i)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="53" groupid="40" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">English language arts;</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-11" dnum="_-o:ii-i" numlevel="1" lineno="199" slineno="3-17" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3" tab="1"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1084" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(ii)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="58" groupid="44" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">mathematics; and</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-12" dnum="_-o:iii-i" numlevel="1" lineno="200" slineno="3-18" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3" tab="1"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1085" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(iii)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="63" groupid="48" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">science.</amend></subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="1-82" dnum="_-o:b-i" numlevel="1" lineno="201" slineno="3-19" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1086" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(b)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="395" groupid="297" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">The program does not include the required writing prompt for grades 5 and 8 <ln numlevel="1" lineno="202" slineno="3-20"/>described in Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-303(2)">53E-4-303(2)</xref>.</amend></subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="1-50" dnum="_-o:3-i" numlevel="1" lineno="203" slineno="3-21" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="1"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1087" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(3)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="243" groupid="182" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">The state board shall:</amend><subsection ssid="1-66" dnum="_-o:a-i" numlevel="1" lineno="204" slineno="3-22" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1088" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(a)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="324" groupid="244" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">in accordance with  Title 63G, Chapter 6a, Utah Procurement Code, qualify one or <ln numlevel="1" lineno="205" slineno="3-23"/>more providers to provide the program to an LEA;</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-75" dnum="_-o:b-i" numlevel="1" lineno="206" slineno="3-24" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1089" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(b)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="367" groupid="276" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">in selecting a provider described in Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-316(3)(a)">(3)(a)</xref>:</amend><subsection ssid="1-76" dnum="_-o:i-i" numlevel="1" lineno="207" slineno="3-25" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1090" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(i)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="373" groupid="281" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">ensure the provider's assessment complies with the requirements for an alternative <ln numlevel="1" lineno="208" slineno="3-26"/>assessment described in this section;</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-77" dnum="_-o:ii-i" numlevel="1" lineno="209" slineno="3-27" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1091" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(ii)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="385" groupid="291" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">consider how the provider's assessment aligns with core standards for public <ln numlevel="1" lineno="210" slineno="3-28"/>schools in the state; and</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-78" dnum="_-o:iii-i" numlevel="1" lineno="211" slineno="3-29" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1092" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(iii)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="384" groupid="290" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">consider the provider's demonstrated experience over multiple consecutive years <ln numlevel="1" lineno="212" slineno="3-30"/>in administering adaptive, nationally norm-referenced assessments in a state that <ln numlevel="1" lineno="213" slineno="3-31"/>have been used for accountability purposes;</amend></subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="1-52" dnum="_-o:c-i" numlevel="1" lineno="214" slineno="3-32" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1093" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(c)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="256" groupid="192" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">ensure that scores from the alternative assessment are convertible to the state's <ln numlevel="1" lineno="215" slineno="3-33"/>proficiency levels by:</amend><subsection ssid="1-53" dnum="_-o:i-i" numlevel="1" lineno="216" slineno="3-34" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1094" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(i)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="262" groupid="197" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">developing or approving conversion tables or methodologies that map national <ln numlevel="1" lineno="217" slineno="3-35"/>percentile ranks scale scores or growth metrics to proficiency levels 1 through 4;</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-54" dnum="_-o:ii-i" numlevel="1" lineno="218" slineno="3-36" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1095" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(ii)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="271" groupid="201" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">ensuring conversions maintain the validity and reliability required under the <ln numlevel="1" lineno="219" slineno="3-37"/>Every Student Succeeds Act, 20 U.S.C. and</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-61" dnum="_-o:iii-i" numlevel="1" lineno="238" slineno="3-56" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1107" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(iii)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="313" groupid="235" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">recommendations for the committee related to the program.</amend></subsection></subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="1-24" dnum="_-o:4-i" numlevel="1" lineno="239" slineno="3-57" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="1"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1108" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(4)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="124" groupid="94" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">To participate in the program, an LEA shall:</amend><subsection ssid="1-25" dnum="_-o:a-i" numlevel="1" lineno="240" slineno="3-58" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1109" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(a)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="123" groupid="93" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">notify the state board by applying to the program the state board establishes by rule <ln numlevel="1" lineno="241" slineno="3-59"/>under Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-316(6)(a)">(6)(a)</xref>;</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-80" dnum="_-o:b-i" numlevel="1" lineno="242" slineno="3-60" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1110" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(b)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="386" groupid="292" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">allocate funds from the LEA's budget to pay the provider the state board procures <ln numlevel="1" lineno="243" slineno="3-61"/>under Subsection <xref depth="4" refnumber="53E-4-316(3)(a)">(3)(a)</xref>, and associated costs to administer the alternative assessment <ln numlevel="1" lineno="244" slineno="3-62"/>within the LEA;</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-26" dnum="_-o:c-i" numlevel="1" lineno="245" slineno="3-63" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1111" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(c)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="136" groupid="102" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">administer the alternative assessment to students enrolled in the LEA;</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-27" dnum="_-o:d-i" numlevel="1" lineno="246" slineno="3-64" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1112" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(d)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="135" groupid="101" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">administer the alternative assessment to a student enrolled in the LEA, in accordance <ln numlevel="1" lineno="247" slineno="3-65"/>with the assessment publisher's guidelines and state board rule, during the school year <ln numlevel="1" lineno="248" slineno="3-66"/>at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year; and</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-32" dnum="_-o:e-i" numlevel="1" lineno="249" slineno="3-67" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1113" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(e)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="164" groupid="124" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">submit assessment data to the state board in a format compatible with the state's data <ln numlevel="1" lineno="250" slineno="3-68"/>system for inclusion in school and LEA accountability calculations.</amend></subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="1-33" dnum="_-o:5-i" numlevel="1" lineno="251" slineno="3-69" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="1"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1114" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(5)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="173" groupid="129" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">An LEA participating in the program shall:</amend><subsection ssid="1-34" dnum="_-o:a-i" numlevel="1" lineno="252" slineno="3-70" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1115" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(a)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="178" groupid="133" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">issue individual student reports to a parent no later than 30 days after the date of each <ln numlevel="1" lineno="253" slineno="3-71"/>administration of the assessment including the student's:</amend><subsection ssid="1-36" dnum="_-o:i-i" numlevel="1" lineno="254" slineno="3-72" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1116" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(i)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="188" groupid="141" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">percentile rank;</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-37" dnum="_-o:ii-i" numlevel="1" lineno="255" slineno="3-73" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1117" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(ii)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="193" groupid="145" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">growth measures; and</amend></subsection><subsection ssid="1-38" dnum="_-o:iii-i" numlevel="1" lineno="256" slineno="3-74" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="3"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1118" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(iii)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="198" groupid="149" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">converted proficiency level;</amend></subsection></subsection><subsection ssid="1-39" dnum="_-o:b-i" numlevel="1" lineno="257" slineno="3-75" ea="amend" anum="0" owner="jchristopherson" style="1" level="2"><display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="1119" style="1" owner="i" level="1" amendtag="start">(b)</amend></display><amend anum="0" ea="amend" pairid="212" groupid="161" style="1" owner="jchristopherson" level="1" amendtag="end">post aggregated, nonpersonally identifiable results on the LEA's public website no <ln numlevel="1" lineno="258" slineno="3-76"/>later than 60 days after the date of the end-of-year administration of the assessment;
