Section 1. Section 81-2-408 is repealed and reenacted to read:81-2-408. Validity of marriage not solemnized or solemnized before an unauthorized individual.A marriage that is not solemnized in accordance with this chapter is invalid unless a court or administrative order legally recognized the marriage before May 6, 2026.

Section 2. Effective Date.This bill takes effect on May 6, 2026.
