Jim Bowcutt, Director of Conservation, Utah Department of Agriculture and Food, presented on the Agricultural Water Optimization Grant Program, how the Program works, and gave updates on the Program.

Jeff DenBleyker, PE, Project Manager, Jacobs Engineering, presented on the Agricultural Water Optimization Task Force, what the Task Force does, and gave updates on the Task Force.

Warren Peterson, Candice Hasenyager, Director, Utah Division of Water, and Dan Adams, Senior Executive, The Langdon Group, presented on local watershed councils and how they operate, the Utah Watershed Council, and gave background and an update on future plans of the Utah Watershed Council.

5a. Magnuson Ranch Presentation
Burt Holland, Resident, Rod Magnusson, Resident, and Jody Magnusson, Resident, presented on the automated hydroponic fodder system that the Magnuson Ranch has used to conserve water, how the system works, and benefits from using the system.
The commission asked questions of Rod and Jody Magnuson.
Richard Snelgrove, Council Member, Salt Lake County Council, spoke to conserving water for the Great Salt Lake and the potential use of hydroponic systems for urban farms.
Gary Sandberg, Resident, spoke to the use of hydroponic systems to conserve water.
The commission asked questions of Richard Snelgrove and discussed the presentation further.
