Vice Chair Hall moved to approve the minutes of the February 2, 2017 meeting. The motion passed with a vote of 7-0-6.
H.B. 245 School District Procurement Process

Rep. Hall explained the bill with the assistance of Mr. Ben Horsley, Communications Director, Granite School District.
Mr. Brian Allfrey, Executive Director, Utah Press Association, spoke in opposition to the bill.
Rep. Roberts moved to pass H.B. 245 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 13-0-0.
Chair Pitcher moved to place H.B. 245 on the Consent Calendar.
Chair Pitcher withdrew his motion.
H.B. 229 Amendments Relating to Local Districts
(McCay, D.)

Rep. Weight moved to hold H.B. 229. The motion failed with a vote of 4-8-1.
Rep. Grover's original motion passed with a vote of 11-1-1.
