Chair Weiler called the meeting to order at 8:17 a.m.

Chair Weiler requested Mr. Farmer to introduce himself.
MOTION: Rep. Greene moved to approve the minutes of the May 1, 2017, meeting.The motion passed with a vote of 6 - 0 - 3 .

2. Licensed Lawful Occupation Review: Private Investigator Regulation Act
Ms. Mindy Lindquist, Criminal Complaint Specialist, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, responded to questions and comments from the committee.
Mr. Kevin Wyatt, President, Private Investigators Association of Utah, responded to questions and comments from the committee.
Sen. Harper requested information from committee staff on firearm licensing requirements, etc.
Chair Weiler requested Mr. Sweet to introduce himself and respond to committee questions.
Mr. John Michael Zimmerle, private investigator and board member, Private Investigators Association of Utah, addressed firearm and private investigator requirements and responded to questions and comments from the committee.
Mr. Grant Roll, Secretary, Private Investigators Association of Utah, addressed private investigator requirements and responded to questions and comments from the committee.
Mr. Wyatt commented on requested private investigator change of regulations.

3. 10 Year Review Plan of Licensed Lawful Occupations
Mr. Sweet reviewed considerations for the committee to organizing its approach as to which licensed occupations to review.

4. Other Items/Adjourn
Mr. Taylor proposed that the committee consider in its next meeting addressing DOPL to substantially increase continuing education requirements for the contractors' group.
Chair Weiler set the next committee meeting for Monday, September 25, 2017, at 8:00 a.m.
