Page 3, Lines 55 through 62
55
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of the state of Utah, the
56
Governor concurring therein, supports rural development of wind, solar, and geothermal energy
57
resources within Utah as a complement to Utah's diversified energy system, so that Utah's rural
58
communities can take an active part in and receive the benefits of Utah's economic
59
        development.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature and the Governor support wind, solar, and geothermal energy development on lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and the Forest Service, which lands constitute the majority of lands in rural Utah, and ask those agencies to actively support wind, solar, and geothermal energy development, including transmission line approvals.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature and the Governor oppose any federal land designation -- including Antiquities Act designations, ACEC designations, and resource management plan designations, among other designations -- in rural Utah that would prohibit wind, solar, and geothermal energy development on federally managed land in the state.
60
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature and the Governor support the
61
export of Utah-produced wind, solar, and geothermal energy to other states in the West through
62
participation in centralized and bilateral energy markets.
