| Curtis Cottle, Cottle Fire Protection, discussed deficiencies found in fire sprinkler systems upon inspection and spoke in support of the proposed legislation. |

| Kristopher Winget, sprinkler fitter, spoke to the issue. |
|
| Sen. Mayne discussed the need for the proposed legislation that would create new trade license classifications and requirements for automatic fire sprinkler contractors and related professions. |
|

| Sen. Mayne moved to recommend 2019 General Session draft legislation "Construction Trades Licensing Amendments" as a committee bill and that further work on the bill would be brought to the committee for review. |

| SUBSTITUTE MOTION: Rep. Greene moved that the discussion move to the next agenda item.
The Substitute motion failed with a vote of 4-4-1.
