1. 1st Sub. S.B. 55 Charter Trust Land Council Amendments (Escamilla (Robles), L.)
Sen. Luz Escamilla presented 1st Substitute S.B. 55.
Ms. Natalie Gordon, School Trust Specialist for the Utah State Board of Education (USBE), spoke to the bill.
Mr. Chase Clyde, Director of Government Relations and Political Action for the Utah Education Association (UEA), spoke in favor of the bill.
MOTION: Rep. Duckworth moved to pass 1st Substitute S.B. 55 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 5-1-2.

Rep. Poulson moved to pass H.B. 224 out favorably.
Rep. Poulson withdrew the motion.
Rep. Perry moved to amend H.B. 224 with Amendment #1.
