Chair Maloy called the meeting to order at 2:07 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Roberts moved to approve the minutes of the February 14, 2019, meeting. The motion passed with a vote of 8-0-7.

Sen. Jacob L. Anderegg requested the bill be moved to the House Economic Development and Workforce Services Committee.
MOTION: Rep. Dunnigan moved to refer 3rd Substitute S.B. 34 to the House Economic Development and Workforce Services Committee. The motion passed with a vote of 7-1-7.

2. H.B. 336 Nurse Practice Act Amendments (Dunnigan, J.)
Rep. Dunnigan presented the bill to the committee and handed out "Vote YES on HB336" and "2 Year/2000 Hour Consultation and Referral Agreement." Ms. Beth Luthy, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Assistant Professor, Brigham Young University (BYU), and Mr. Corbett Brown, FNP, assisted in the presentation.
Mr. Mark Brinton, General Counsel and Director of Government Affairs, Utah Medical Association, spoke against the bill and handed out "Oppose HB 336 Nurse Practitioner Act Amendments."
Ms. Charlie Rowberry, Registered Nurse (RN), FNP student at BYU, spoke in support of the bill.
Mr. Benjamin Becker, RN, President of Utah Organization of Nurse Leaders, spoke in support of the bill.
Ms. Dianne Forster-Burke, Utah Nurses Association, spoke in support of the bill.
Rep. Schultz moved to pass H.B. 336 out favorably.
Rep. Schultz's motion to pass H.B. 336 out favorablypassed with a vote 11-0-4.
