2. H.C.R. 10 Concurrent Resolution to Address Declining Water Levels of the Great Salt Lake (Hawkes, T.)
Rep. Thomas Hawkes explained the resolution.
MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to amend H.C.R. 10 with Amendment #2. The motion passed with a vote of 6-0-3.

1.        Page 2, Lines 37 through 39: 
37                 WHEREAS, the "lake effect" from Great Salt Lake provides an important contribution
38         to snowpack in the Wasatch Range, which is crucially important to Utah's water cycle and its
39         tourism { industry } , agricultural, and other industries ;

2.        Page 3, Lines 64 through 67: 
64                 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature and the Governor recognize there is
65         a need for an overall policy that supports effective { allocation and } administration of water flow
66         to Great Salt Lake to maintain or increase lake levels, while appropriately balancing economic,
67         social, and environmental needs , including the need to sustain working agricultural land .

73                 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature and the Governor encourage the
74         presentation of findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the Legislature and Governor , including encouraging a report of progress in achieving the objectives of this resolution to the Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Interim Committee by no later than November 30, 2020 .

3. H.C.R. 15 Concurrent Resolution Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Golden Spike (Ferry, J.)
Rep. Joel Ferry introduced the resolution.
MOTION: Sen. Sandall moved to amend H.C.R. 15 with Amendment #1. The motion passed with a vote of 6-0-3.

1.        Page 2, Line 56 through Page 3, Line 59: 
56         in Promontory Summit, Utah, and have protected and preserved the site for future generations.
        BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature and the Governor authorize the Spike 150 Commission to create a spike using native Utah copper. This spike shall officially be known as the "Utah Spike."                
57                 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature { , } and the Governor { concurring therein,
58         commemorates } commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Golden Spike ceremony and the completion of the
59         transcontinental railroad.
