2. Medicaid Reimbursements |
Scott Jones, Deputy Superintendent of Operations, Utah State Board of Education, Eric Tadehara, Assistant Director for Children Behavioral Health, Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health, and Emma Chacon, Medicaid Operations Director, Department of Health, were introduced to the committee. |
Scott Jones spoke regarding the direction given by H.B. 373 Student Support Amendments, that the State Board of Education, the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health, and the Department of Health would study and report to the Education Interim Committee regarding any recommendations related to the expansion of Medicaid reimbursements for eligible school-based services and other areas concerning Medicaid reimbursements. |
Emma Chacon reported on Medicaid Reimbursement for school-based health services and answered questions from the committee. |
Eric Tadehara spoke to expanding access to services for all children with and without Medicaid. |
