1st Sub. H.B. 449 33 (1) Within legislative appropriations, the department shall issue a request for 34 applications for at least three qualified individuals to conduct the study described in Subsection 35 (2)(c). 36 (2) The recipients of a grant under this section shall: 37 (a) be selected by the department; 38 (b) possess a doctoral degree in medicine, pharmacology, or a related field; 39 (c) conduct a review of scientifically valid , peer reviewed research and relevant proceedings regarding: 40 (i) the diagnosis, treatment, and care of minors who are transgender; and 41 (ii) the benefits and side effects of administering a gonadotropin releasing hormone 42 agent which is used to facilitate the minor's gender transition; and |
