MOTION: Sen. Henderson moved that the committee adopt the study items presented, including the study item related to campus safety, with the understanding that study items not related to COVID-19 will be included on agendas as time allows. The motion passed with a vote of 15-0-4.

David R. Woolstenhulme, Interim Commissioner, Utah System of Higher Education, introduced Spencer Jenkins, Associate Commissioner for Public Affairs, Utah State Board of Regents, and Marlon Lynch, Chief Safety Officer, University of Utah, and presented on campus safety responses.

Spencer Jenkins continued the campus safety presentation and responded to questions from the committee.
Marlon Lynch spoke to the issue and responded to questions from the committee.

4. Public Education COVID-19 Response and Recovery
Sydnee Dickson, Superintendent, Utah State Board of Education, presented about the state board's response and recovery following closures regarding COVID-19.

Sydnee Dickson responded to questions.
Angie Stallings, Utah State Board of Education, responded to questions from the committee.
Royce Van Tassell, Utah Association of Charter Schools, spoke to the issue.
Terry Shoemaker, Executive Director, Utah School Superintendents Association, spoke to the issue.
Lexi Cunningham, Utah State Superintendents Association, spoke to the issue.
5. Higher Education COVID-19 Response and Recovery
David R. Woolstenhulme presented on the Utah System of Higher Education's response to COVID-19.

Neil Abercrombie, Director of Government Relations, Utah State University, spoke to Utah State University's response to COVID-19.
Robert Wagner, Vice President of Academic & Instructional Services, Utah State University, spoke to Utah State University's response to COVID-19.

Robert Wagner and Neil Abercrombie answered questions from the committee.
Rep. Snow assumed the chair.
James Taggart, President, Ogden-Weber Technical College, spoke regarding Ogden-Weber Technical College's experiences from COVID-19 and responded to questions from the committee.
