Dr. Marc Babitz, Deputy Director, DOH, provided information regarding the State's medical and dental clinics which were discussed in the 8:00 a.m. meeting. |
Sen. Escamilla asked about the possibility of allocating funds to community health centers and Marc Babitz responded. |
Chair Ray made a comment on the lack of primary care physicians in the State. Marc Babitz noted that Utah is 49th out of the 50 states in the number of primary care physicians for the population ratio. |

Rep. Christiansen praised the division's focus on prevention and asked for additional information on how DSAMH measures the effectiveness of programs and Brent Kelsey responded. |
Rep. Ward thanked Brent Kelsey for the report and asked for more information about the focus of the report. Rep. Ward also asked about the efficacy of Utah's prevention programs in substance abuse and suicide in comparison to other states. Brent Kelsey responded. |

MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved that the Legislature intends that the Department of Workforce Services report to the Office of the Legislative Fiscal Analyst by January 1, 2021 on the status of all recommendations from "A Performance Audit of the Permanent Community Impact Fund" and include an estimate of savings for each recommendation where applicable.
