MOTION: Chair Okerlund moved to allow the chairs to open a bill file regarding the Agricultural Operations Nuisance Act. The motion passed with a vote of 17-0-2.

Brian Cottam, Utah State Forester and Director of the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands discussed wildfire management and the shared stewardship agreement with the federal government.

5. Sensitive Species List
Michael Fowlks, Director, Division of Wildlife Resources, Department of Natural Resources (DNR), introduced the Sensitive Species List.
Rory Reynolds, Deputy Director, DNR, discussed the sensitive species list.
The presenters responded to questions from the committee.
Brian Steed, Executive Director, DNR, responded to questions from the committee.
Jeff Hartley, Sage Government Solutions, addressed this issue.
Committee members asked questions and commented about this issue.
Chair Stratton indicated that Item #6, Algal Blooms in Utah Lakes, and Item #7, State Monuments and Parks, will be discussed in the October Interim meeting.
MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to adjourn. The motion passed with a vote of 16-0-3.
