Rep. Miles presented the bill with the assistance of Marcelle Shoop, Director of the Saline Lakes Program, National Audubon Society. and Candice Hasenyager, Director, Utah Division of Water Resources
Soren Simonsen, Director, Jordan River Water Commission commented on the bill.
Heather Anderson, Government Affairs Director, Utah Association of Special Districts, spoke in favor of the bill.
Todd Adams, Deputy Director, Department of Natural Resources spoke in favor of the bill.
MOTION:Vice Chair Stenquist moved to amend H.B. 429 with Amendment #1.The motion passed with a vote of 9-0-0.
